Emily Whitmore, DVMGrowing up in the Charlottesville area and living in the state my whole life, I am a true Virginia native. As an undergraduate, I attended The College of William and Mary where I discovered veterinary medicine was the perfect profession combining my love of animals with science, medicine, and problem solving. After my undergraduate work, I moved to Blacksburg to attend Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM for short)! I developed interests in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and ultrasound. I also rescued my hound-mix, Kona, while in school. Born and raised in Blacksburg, he is a die-hard Hokie fan!!
I am excited to be at Henry County Animal Hospital and look forward to providing high quality medicine and compassionate care to you and your furry family members. In my free time, Kona and I enjoy being outdoors taking long walks, running, and hiking. I also love playing soccer, traveling internationally, and photography.
